1. FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for buying Racelogic Traction Control. By following the instructions in

this manual, our system can be fitted to any car in a matter of hours. If you have any

problems or queries while fitting the system, please call Racelogic on + 44 (0) 1280

1.1 Introduction

The Racelogic Traction Control System works by monitoring the vehicle’s wheel

speeds, constantly comparing the driven and undriven wheels, looking for differences

between the two. When the system detects an excessive difference in wheel speeds

above a programmable threshold a fuel cut is initiated to reduce the power of the

engine, therefore reducing wheel spin.

Connecting the system involves interfacing with the vehicles existing ABS sensors to

provide the wheel speed inputs and breaking each of the signal wires supplying the

fuel injectors. This allows the Traction Control to cut fuel when wheel spin has been

detected.
